PHERO was born from a shared moment of change and determination between two Latina mothers from the Inwood area of Manhattan in New York, seeking more than just athleisure. We were seeking a shift, a better future for ourselves and our families. Tired of settling, we were ready to lead our own path, build something with meaning, and pour our energy into a vision that reflected our strength, our growth, and our drive to do better. This wasn’t just about clothing. It was about taking control of our lives and creating a future on our own terms.

We have been friends since childhood - 29 years of growing up side by side, from schoolyards to motherhood. Our friendship has carried us through every stage of life: teenage years, careers, becoming mothers, and even cancer for one of us. Through it all, we’ve leaned on each other with love, honesty, and unwavering support. That deep bond is the heart of PHERO, built on decades of trust, shared strength, and the kind of friendship that makes anything feel possible.

After over 20 years at a company where my best friend no longer felt valued, she decided to step away and find a new purpose. At the same time, I was managing life as a disabled mother and breast cancer survivor. We were both on a break from work, seeking a new purpose.

In early 2024, our journey began with a shared commitment to healthier, stronger lives. We started working out around the same time, motivated by a desire to feel better and more confident. By February 2025, we realized just how hard it was to find athleisure that truly fit, performed, and supported us the way we needed.

PHERO came to life as a brand built by mothers who know what quality and comfort really mean. Working closely with trusted manufacturers, we focused on details like fit, fabric, and style, ensuring every piece empowers people to move with confidence and intention.

PHERO is more than clothing; it’s a movement toward self-love, resilience, and dedication because the strongest people are those who keep going, no matter the challenges.
